The video should focus on Gil and Catherine's friendship/romance or whatever you call their relationship (except for the individual character categories). It can be an angsty/comedic/action-packed video.

Be creative. Don't be afraid to take risks.

No bashing of any CSI character or actor is allowed.

Catherine and Gil are smoldering hot so we can't help but rate the PureJoy Video Awards R. You know it's a sin to restrict PureJoy porn. ;)
Length of Entries

Entries must not be shorter than 30 seconds or longer than 10 minutes in length. The maximum file size of the video is 30 MB.
Freshness
-
In order to keep the content fresh, we prefer that all the entries be brand spanking new. However, because this is the first time we host a PureJoy video contest, we'd like to give the older videos a chance, too. So basically videos made between August 2005 and August 24, 2007 are acceptable.
Video Submission

The deadline for all submissions is August 24, 2007, 11:59 pm EST. You can submit as many videos as you want.

You must provide the video maker's name, the time the video was made and a valid link for the video you submit. Links to video sharing sites such as YouTube are acceptable. You may still submit a video if you are not sure when it was made. We'll see what we can do with that.

Submit videos using the form on the submit page. Make sure you fill out each field correctly.
Voting

Voting begins on September 1, 2007, 12:00 am EST and ends on September 23, 2007, 11:59 pm EST. Results will be announced on September 30.

Everyone can vote for his/her favorite videos, but please do not get people to vote for your videos. This contest is for fun and entertainment. If you get people to vote for you just to win, it's no fun at all.

Voters need to watch all nominated videos before you vote. You shouldn't vote for a particular video just because it was made by your friend. This isn't a popular contest.
Categories
- Concept — Ever seen a Disney musical themed Gil and Cath video? Or a Gil and Cath video ala Mr. and Mrs. Smith? Any video that has a unique, creative general idea and theme should be included here.
- Editing — Videos that have just the right blend of clip transitions and effects... any video that is well put together should be here.
- Song — Videos that used songs which struck a chord with many of us.
- Drama (Romantic, Serious, Nostalgia, Torment, Heartbreak) — Tear-jerking videos set to heart-tugging music. If your eyes well up while watching it... then it likely goes here.
- Comedy (Funny, Silly, Teasing, Sexy, Upbeat) — Humorous videos with a centralized idea or theme set to an upbeat or comical song.
- Action (Adrenaline Rush, Fast, Rock, Violence, Cat Fights, Jealousy) — Gil and Cath chasing after and blowing up the bad guys, Catherine kicking the butts of Gil's other women, Gil fighting for Catherine... heart-pounding, adrenaline-boosting videos where the song generally rocks go here.
- Pure (Catherine-centered) — Character study/video tribute to everyone's favorite CSI goddess — Catherine.
- Joy (Gil-centered) — Everyone reveres the Bugman, all the videos that concentrate on his character go here.
- PureJoy (Video of the Year) — Videos that accomplished the difficult task of putting all the elments that make a good video together —great concept, song, and editing— and evoked interest and response even among viewers who aren't familiar with CSI or Gil/Catherine (such as "Aww, are they together? ...WTF?!?! They aren't canon?!!?!! They should be canon. Holy yes they should be making babies together!"). Um that was just an example. ;)
- Favorite Editor — Makers of submitted videos are automatically nominated.
Prizes
Apart from banners, the winners of the ten categories will get something that's much more useful than just banners. We will offer each one of them 1GB of webspace to host their own webpages and videos along with an FTP account and a subdomain (http://yourname.csi-media.com or http://yourname.blacktie-affair.org). If they have their own domains, we can host the domains, too. We hope this will help stimulate fans to keep making good PureJoy videos. :)
